Ingredients
The hero ingredients in our products have been recommended by dermatologists and doctors alike to treat challenging skin conditions for years.
Years of research, medical trials and studies have shown them to be the most effective ingredients on the market.

Tretinoin
Cell Turnover & Renewal
Tretinoin is the name of the retinoid ingredient we utilise throughout our Night Cream range. It is part of a wider family of Vitamin A’s that is only available with a doctor’s prescription. Essentially, tretinoin (and other Vitamin A’s, retinols and retinoids) works by communicating with our skin cells to encourage healthier, younger cells to make their way to the surface, subsequently ridding the skin of older, damaged skin cells.

Hydroquinone
Brightening & Melanin Inhibitor
Hydroquinone is lightening agent that works by decreasing the number of melanocytes in your skin. These melanocytes make melanin, which is what produces your skin tone. The overproduction of melanin is what leads to pigmentation and uneven skin-tone.
Furthermore, hydroquinone decreases the number of melanocytes as a tyrosinase inhibitor, decreasing the tyrosinase enzyme. This enzyme is responsible for the first step in melanin production. By directly targeting this enzyme, we are able to prevent that over-production of melanin from forming while also allowing the skin to lighten and become more uniform.

Niacinamide
Anti-Inflammation, Hydration, Prevention & Repair
Provides anti-inflammatory properties that work topically to treat inflammatory concerns, such as rosacea, dermatitis or breakouts. It helps to nourish and strengthen the skin’s lipid barrier to effectively help repair previous skin damage, as well as protecting the skin against future, harmful aggressors. This also works to regulate the skin’s oil production, aiding in pore size and skin texture, for a smoother complexion.
This assists with skin dehydration by preventing water loss, as well as boosting the effects of other moisturising ingredients to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Azelaic Acid
Anti-Bacterial & Anti-Inflammation
A naturally occurring ingredient derived from grains such as barley, wheat and rye. It works on the skin to deliver antioxidant benefits while gently removing any harmful bacteria infecting the skin’s pores and refining the skin’s overall texture.
Azelaic Acid also helps to reduce redness and inflammation while significantly lessening factors in skin that lead to sensitivities, resulting in a healthier and more even-toned complexion.

Ivermectin
Anti-Bacterial & Anti-Inflammatory
Ivermectin is most commonly used to treat parasite infections orally and topically. The reason this ingredient is utilised for treating rosacea and dermatitis is due to these skin conditions sometimes being associated with an overgrowth of Demodex mites on the skin.
Ivermectin also has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce the redness, swelling, and irritation commonly seen in rosacea and dermatitis.

Methimazole
Brightening & Melanin Inhibitor
Methimazole is an oral antithyroid compound, that when applied topically exhibits skin depigmenting effects. It has the ability to block melanin production, improving the appearance of stubborn pigmentation and significantly brightening skin complexion. We utilise this ingredient in our Total Reset Night Cream, as a replacement for Hydroquinone.

Clindamycin
Anti-Bacterial & Anti-Inflammation
Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic, similar to
erythromycin, it will treat skin conditions such as acne and rosacea, working quite similarly. It will also stop the growth of bacteria and decrease swelling / inflammation in the skin.

Metronidazole
Antimicrobial & Anti-Inflammatory
Metronidazole is topically used to treat rosacea and certain types of dermatitis due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
Metronidazole’s anti-inflammatory effects can help alleviate symptoms such as redness and irritation.
Additionally similar to ivermectin, Metronidazole helps to reduced the amount of Demodex mites on the skin.

Kojic Acid
Brightening, Anti-Bacterial & Prevention
Kojic Acid inhibits the production of melanin in the skin, meaning it is a powerful topical lightening agent that aids in treating existing sun spots and damage, as well as preventing further sunspots from occurring. It also helps to counteract free radicals that can damage the skin, meaning it has effective anti-ageing properties.

Erythromycian
Anti-Bacterial & Anti-Inflammatory
Topical antibiotic that can be used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.
It works by having a bacteriostatic effect on the skin, essentially preventing the proliferation of bacteria. It also inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines (intercellular messengers) and decreases neutrophil (a type of white-blood cell that defends against tissue damage and infection) oxidative bursts.

Ascorbyl Palmitate & Ascorbic Acid
Brightening, Antioxidant & Collagen Production
Ascorbyl Palmitate is an oil soluble form of Vitamin C that combines both Ascorbic Acid and the fatty Palmitic Acid, where as Ascorbic Acid is the purest form of Vitamin C.
Vitamin C works to increase collagen production, tied to the skin’s elasticity to help reduce wrinkles and fight signs of ageing. It maintains antioxidant benefits that work to neutralise free radicals that lead to the degradation of skin health. It also works to further brighten the complexion and help break down pigmentation sitting in the epidermis layer of the skin.

Tranexamic Acid
Melanin Inhibitor
Tranexamic Acid is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid Lysine and works by inhibiting the over-production of melanin. Melanin inhibitors work to target discolouration such as melasma, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring and more.
